So my Guerlian Highlighter is finally here.
&
I Love it so much that I would like to take it to bed with me.
Wait.
But on second thought, I wouldn't, don't want to crack my loveliness!
Ok.
So its limited edition and retailed for $62 I think.
I paid $100 plus shipping. (I know! seriously!)
I'm huge fan of highlighters and I own quite a few.
So when this was on the works of launching. I had set my mind to purchase it.
Release date came by and The Sis convinced me otherwise.
She said it looked like my Laura Mercier Rose Rendezvous $42 (another favorite & limited).
I debated for a while (3 days) and by the time I realised that this one was different. Too Late. Sold Out everywhere in the United States. Except of course EBay, where the price was jacked up to almost $200!! I was not going to pay $200 for a highlighter as badly as I had to have it. I even tried to convince the lady at Nordstrom to sell me the tester. Not possible the darn thingwas glued to it. (Did I just use the word "Darn" who uses that??)
Finally I got it from an online store in UK. The Last piece. I'm soooooooo Lucky!
And I Love it!!! Minus the packaging. Seriously Guerlain a plastic container??
Regardless
It's worth every Dollar.
If I could get my hands on another one I would!

It's been a busy weekend. Which explains the messy "I just stepped out of my bed hair" Literally!
Plop on a beanie. Instant semi-decent fix!
Reason why I own a little collection of hats, beanies, fedoras, floppies, bowlers.
Minus a Fitted hat. Yea, I don't think I could do a fitted hat. Hah.
...
On a more altruistic note.
Endless Promotions managed by my bestie's significant other (also a friend of mine) Namgyal T Lama and his friend Nawang Rinzin are trying to change the lives of underprivileged children in Nepal 10% at a time.
How?

If you're in New York stop by NYXTA.

19th Pair

IMG_5112

Of Jeffrey's that is ^_^
Lita Spike($190 + tax/shipping) You, You Sexy Thing! I Love You.
Love a modified "grunge, rock & or punk".
You are completely aware of my obsession with Jeffreys especially Litas.
As mentioned numerious times before Leather & Spikes are my major weakness. So it was only natural I had to add this pair to my collection of 19 and adding.

IMG_5115

I know this looks similar to my Older pair Lita Stud ($265+tax/shipping )

IMG_5116

Compare
The Spikes are more wearable.
The Spikes are cheaper.
But the spikes on the spike tend to come off and are a bit shaky.
While all the studs on the studs are intact.
The stud has a long flap.
Both are heavier than your usual Litas.
&
Both are INCREDIBLY SEXY!

Happy Friday

About the Designer
"New York designer, Viktor Luna, was born in Guadalajara, Mexico and raised in Los Angeles. Viktor’s mother, a talented seamstress in her own right, introduced him to fashion at the age of seven and taught him the foundations of tailoring and construction. Luna polished his skills at the Fashion Institute of Technology following his move to New York. In 2003, he worked as a production assistant for Zero Maria Cornejo prior to launching his first collection in 2006. An avid photographer with a keen eye for nature’s overlooked oddities, Luna steps behind the lens to create inspiration for his vivid prints. He draws upon his eclectic background spanning tranquil summers on Mexico’s coast, his rock and roll days in Los Angeles, and the kinetic urban energy of New York City.

As a finalist on Lifetime’s Project Runway, Luna showed his Spring 2012 collection at New York Fashion Week. Past collections have been featured in Runway Magazine, Blink Magazine, and Nylon Mexico." Source Viktor Luna Offical Site. Here

As the temperature drops the only thing I dress my wardrobe around is (P)leather pants. Warm and comfy. I know! comfort is the last word you'd associate with such a fabric. But I guess I've grown acustomed to it, over all the New York winter years. I picked these from H&M since they were a lil' thicker than my usual Topshop pairs. A self-reasoning to buy another pair adding to a collection of 6.

OOTD

Obligatory Shot

Nothing beats a day of shopping with the girls in "the largest high-end shopping mall in the state of New York and eighth in the country", according to Wikipedia. Than the joy to find the jacket (in XS) that you've hunt down all of the Zaras in New York for. A piece I swear if I couldn't get my hands on someone would get hurt. But Who am I kidding? It will probably stay stashed in my wardrobe and see the light of day only in late april (light summer jacket) and at that time will "Annoy the Shit" outta me because chances are it will be on Sale. It happens to me so often you would think I've become immune to it. Nope gets me each time.
Rant aside
Stopped by for lunch at Himalyan Hut for some sinfully delish dumplings. I'm not surprised that it was the critics pick for New York magazine. Click here.

As requested by Sara from Uk & Dolma from India. Sorry took me a while meant to put this earlier totally skipped my mind.

His & Mine
Amstel Light & Ginger Martini
Jazz Bar @ The Kitano on Park avenue

I've been a lover of jazz music ever since I watched Tom sing Louis Jordan's "Is You Is Or Is You Ain't My Baby" from my kindergarten years. Of course it was subconscious back then. Tom? Who? You ask. You know Thomas the cat from Tom & Jerry. Growing up that was my favorite cartoon (still is) and if you know Tom & Jerry the characters never talk, thats were Jazz was used. A lost art.
Back on the topic.
I was esctatic when Cutie told me that the pianist Vladimir Shafranov had invited him and of course, I was his date. I think its safe to say I've converted him to Jazz. Lol. Usually we don't have a lot of people our age who love this genre of music and last night was no different. We were the only ones in our 20's. Hah everytime we go to an event like this we get the most peculiar looks, I think, they think, we've lost our way. Haha.
Nevertheless.
......
Last Night over Ginger Martini..
I was seduced with the sexy sounds of the Saxophone(Lena Bloch), Bass(Putter Smith), Drums(Mark Ferber), Piano(Vladimir Shafranov). And the Solos ahhh Sinful!!!

One of the Looks from the Wave Febuary Issue (Out on stands Now)

I'm more than excited with the Pastel palette for this spring!! As I've mentioned quite a few Numerous times I'm cuckoo for this palette. So I'm more than happy to be prepping my wardrobe for spring.
Color for Thought: Mint + Angora = Heavenly!

And since New York served us today with a gorgeous 60's spring like weather. A nail paint dedicated. Minty pink Zebra stripes anyone?
