Fortuitous Event

The Sis & I got stranded twice today due to sudden torrential downpour outside, Umbrellas at home. We knew the fate of our money was sealed. Once we did the about turn, and dived right back into Bloomingdales & Sephora to wait out the rain. Result. Crazed makeup haul & famished. Finished the night off with our significant others with a huge Uptown Authentic Schezuan Dinner.

Shoe Doctor

Ugh. I'm so irritated. On the walk back home got caught in the sudden downpour. Completely Soaked my new suede booties (gifted by Cutie). Hmm. I wonder if the suede protector I had sprayed on earlier today was of any help? or would I still need a Shoe Doctor tomorrow?

Half-joked to Cutie "Maybe I should carry my booties in my bag and make a run for it in my socks?" If only, we hadn't stopped at the Diner after the movie. We would have been $40 richer, 5 pounds lighter and I'd still have my new booties "fairly new".

To all the "Weather Channel hunie??" remarks.

Yes. I check the weather forecast. I "Yahoo" it. When it read Light showers. I figured it meant "Light" and technically after midnight doesn't it count as the next day?

Paranoid Much?

Acne Freaks me the fuck out! I have (mild-rare) break outs. I mean aside from larger than normal-dotted freckles so obviously nested on my cheeks & uneven-sensitive skin, to mention a few, there's only so much a girl could take on her skin. So late last night when I felt the presence of a zit appearing on my left cheek (seriously? Could you appear at a more conspicuous place?). Lots of self pity and a serious cleaning with Biore scrub (Works wonders on acne, I swear). After.

Pondered.

I know it's not "That Time" of the month. The culprit. My unwashed brushes. It has been what 2 whole weeks or more that I haven't deep cleaned them? I know. Eww & Ewww. So at midnight, I set to wash my brushes. All 52 of them. Concoction: Mix of Johnson Baby shampoo + Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Done. 1 am . Now if I could only fit "beauty sleep" into that equation.

About the outfit.

Always loved oversized knits, have a thing for metallic & current color crush, Scarlet.

Sole mission of the day. Purchase YSL ring. Yes. I wore it immediately. I'm Lame.
