New York was generous today with an almost spring~like weather. I actually stepped out in a parka without catching a cold!!! Made the best of it strolling around in Soho, did a little shopping here & there but mostly just enjoyed the pleasant weather & the company of my cutie, sister & cousin.

Needles&Threads

I'm not a trained seamstress but I always manage to alter my clothes myself, which I do more so often considering my petite frame & my constant disagreement with the fit or length of the outfit. Most of my sewing skills are passed on to me by my mummy & for everything else I turn to You Tube. Ofcourse I hand sew everything, mostly because I still quite haven't figured out how to use the sewing machine a girl friend of mine gave me. In my defense, the sewing machine is an older model and my friend lost the instruction manual. So, the sewing machine use has to wait for now atleast, until mummy's arrivial.
Before

Faux Fur Leopard Print jacket which although a petite size 0 looked unflattering big on me.
Took me a good few hours of cutting, sewing, swearing, more sewing swearing and a little bleeding..later
Tada!!

Also I gave it an open collar, so I don't look like I'm drowning in faux fur. The final outcome. Good Fit.
I was bored. Dabbled my hands in a little DIY. The embellished tights of course. Spend the whole evening carefully sewing the stones & pearls. My version of the

Salon Effects are real nail polish strips with adhesive backing that allows you to peel, lay them on your nails, file off the excess and go. Retails for around $10 i got Misbheaved (left) & Booty Camp(right) buy 1 get one 50 off @ Rite Aid. I also wanted to get Laced up & Kitty, Kitty but there were both out of stock.

Inside it comes with a set of 16 polish strips (2 each of 8 sizes), plus a mini cuticle stick and file/buffer duo & an instruction pamphlet.
Misbehaved.

Pros: Easy to use once you get the hang of it by nail 2 or 3 for me. Eyecatching, my cutie thought I got my nails done in the Salon & No waiting for nails to dry.

Cons: Size is a little off esp for me since I have such tiny nails. Pricey, $10 is not a lot but compared to how many applications you get from a bottle of polish, versus these one-time strips, they’re not cheap.

Face: Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser in Nude. Chanel Poudre Universelle in 30 Naturel.

Cheeks: Nars Turks & Caicos Tint Stick, it was limited edition so now you can find it only on the Nars website or Saks fifth online. When you look at it, it looks very intimidating a bright, orangey shade but shows on my cheek as a very flattering pinky-peach shade, & with a very satisfying staying power. Love it!

Highlighter: Mac Warm Soul its a mineral blush but used it as highlighter because of its light gold shimmer.

Lips: Mac viva glam Lustre, it's a neutral pink that's sheer but not too sheer with a slight gold shimmer.Nude lips without making you look sick lol.

Eyes: Loads of L'oreal Voluminous mascara in Carbon Black, Mac Eyeshadow Tweet me on the lids. Mac Eyelashes # 20 & rimmed upper & lower water line with Surma.

Guess what the mail man dropped by?Photographs from my photoshoot a few months back & a disc with all the pictures from the shoot!! Thank You Claudio & Merline. I modelled for there recent Beauty & Fashion portfolio/website WWW.RealDepthOfField.com. Needless to say it was an amazing experience.

Even better news they are having a spring shoot & I've been offered to do the makeup on the models. Getting paid to do what I like! Oh yeah!!

Wolford Hero Tights
I purchased these Wolford HeroTights about a year back wore it once, completely forgot about them untill I saw the models wear it & I dug mine out (I got mine online so bought 2 pairs in xs, you know just incase). The price tag run a little steep on these, I paid $65 a pair & the last time I checked, which was 2 hours back, that hasn't changed. They run anywhere from $60 or more depending on where you purchase them. Oh & don't forget TAX. Love the interwoven knitted fabric ribbons designed in a seductive bondage style. Are they worth it? I say Yes! Cause it literally transforms any outfit from Ordinary to Edgy & its super durable!

My style icon Ms. Alba was spotted wearing this on January 25th 2011 in Paris. Congratulations on Baby # 2!

My Jeffrey's like the one Ms. Alba is wearing ^_^ Black Suede with Tan heels. The Litas run around $165 a pair, again depending on where you purchase them. I think I've mentioned in my previous blogs how much I love everything about them the comfort, the height & I have a thing for platform, wedges & lace ups! Oh & did I mention I'm a JC collector esp the Litas, they are my weakness?

Valentines eve so wore red lips, since I don't own A Red anything, rarely do Bright outfits. Speaking of that, hope everyone had a wonderful Valentines Day. My cutie&i made reservations at home ^_^ in pjs, had Dominos delivered, drank moet, watched movies on net flix, & devoured a bowl of Sant Ambroeus Tiramisu.

On the Eve I came home to this..Sigh..I'm spoilt rotten by my cutie..
